I guess the spirit of Christmas has taken over & I've tuned into my creative side! Lol
First up: Anthropologie necklace inspiration - pic 1: Anthropologie pic 2: my creation :)
Next up: snowflake felt garlands. This is still a work in progress (wow, they don't tell you how tedious it is LOL!) and messy!
That's it for now! Can't wait for my next project!

Or so I wish after the years I have spent with my girls...a life of security, love, pampering & absolute laziness! But alas, I am a recovering shopaholic, anti-depressant taking, introvert, newly awaken vegan follower living in cattle land, bitter but trying not to be, opinionated walking contradiction trying to make sense of this crazy mixed up world (along with the help of my 2 pugs & Russian blue)...these are my stories.

Ashton Kutcher's alleged affair (one of them) w/ Sara Leal
Ok - seriously? I admit that yes, I do like reading "People" magazine & sometimes celebrity gossip is entertaining, but not something I dwell on. However, with the Ashton/Demi debacle going on, the affair drew my attention. As I watch the following video I cringe with the thought "this 22 yr old makes females look bad" & I wanted to slap her over the head! Of course you played a part in the divorce - might not have been the main cause, but a cause nonetheless. That is like saying that the baby mamma of my ex husband had nothing to do with our divorce...um...had my ex husband not stuck his thing where it should not have been, we more than likely would have been able to work on our issues.
For someone who doesn't like others to talk about their relationships....WTF! Dude! You publicly announced getting it on with a married man who just so happens to be famous. Let's put our big girl panties on & just say that you wanted your 5 min of fame & to brag that you slept with Ashton.

The aftermath of Black Friday
People are seriously crazy. Young girl being trampled in electronics, women using mace to get the advantage on xbox's, and a shoot out in Walmarts...come on man - is it seriously worth it? Did the general public ever think that just maybe, the sales are really NOT that awesome, things are NOT going to sell out forever & is this crap worth hurting other people for? Umm that would be a negative - I am a full believer in online shopping & I would rather pay the extra couple of bucks than stand in line for over an hour.

To Screen or Not to Screen...
It absolutely drives me bonkers to be on the phone...yes, I am part of that generation who texts, emails, etc. rather than actually speaking with another person. There are times however, that yes, speaking with someone is more appropriate but, majority of the calls I receive at work do not fall into that category. Just part of my quirkiness, I do not like to be disrupted to chat with someone on the phone. Besides the fact that any work related information that is sent via email helps keep record of any and all changes, questions and so forth, but it's a great way to CYA and it is easy to find vs. handwritten notes or post its that mysteriously "walk off" and you do not have to spend 10 min or longer trying to remember why you wrote that note down or what it is you were suppose to do. Like most, I have about a million things going on at once and more than one thought running through my head & things are easily forgotten. Below are the main reasons I hate when the phone rings:
Irritant #1: Repetitive calling (or psycho calling) - seriously people, if I did not answer the first time, more than likely I am not going to answer 2 seconds later. Then not leaving a stupid message as to what you are calling about! Anyone who has worked with me knows that I screen my calls - if they don't, then they are not very observant . In the amount of time that you have psycho called (4x in 10 mins) you could have typed out a simple emailed & EMAILED me...probably would get an answer a lot quicker.
Irritant #2: Infamous Paging tactic: so you think that since I did not answer my direct line, calling the front desk to have me paged is the best thing to do...maybe if you want to just piss me off even more. My voicemail states "I'm either away from my desk or on the other line. Please leave a message & I will return your phone call"...where in that statements hints at having me paged? The sky is not falling, there is not a fire & heaven forbid I am on break or in the bathroom. And, by the time you get me on the phone you know that I am not happy with you.
Irritant #3: Causing a commotion (i.e. paging tactic) for a NON-EMERGENCY: If I have to answer a page & all you needed was to ask how the weather is, I might just have to beat you with a stick (ok, not really but that makes me want to punch something). The world does not revolve around you & I certainly cannot (and will not) just drop everything for you because you think it is important...what's that saying? Your lack of planning is not my emergency or something like that.
Irritant #4: Calling & bothering another employee to "transfer" your phone call to me: How rude are you? Did you eat paint chips as a child? My co-workers are NOT your secretary.
Oh the office life...

Book worm!
Oh how I missed just sitting down & reading a good book! Life just gets so crazy sometimes & time just flies by. Now, I know I'm a hermit & don't have much of a life, but I do enjoy my time at home. I've always been a home-body.
I'm reading "The Help" & I can't put it down! It truly is amazing how we, humans, treat each other & every other living creature. Who do we think we are? Why do we have to resort to violence? Because we are like sheep - we follow whoever is in front, sometimes without question. It is also amazing how far we have NOT come from the '60's (and even before) in the way we treat others & racism & hatred are still around today. Isn't the point of evolution to learn from mistakes & grow from them?

Walking in a spider web...
The words to the infamous 'Spiderwebs' by No Doubt could not be more true with the number of phone calls I receive as a Buyer.
*Newsflash* Just because you call 10x in a row, does not mean that I'm going to answer damnit! If I don't answer it the first time, there is a reason. Just because you continuously call, does not make me want to take to you...now you have just pissed me off.
I love how your answering machine can have "....I'm either away from my desk or on the other line; please leave a msg."...yet they will still psycho call and/or have you PAGED which is the MOST aggravating thing in the office place!

Corporate Bull....
Why is it so difficult for humans to be honest people? Or why do you have to sleep your way to the top? And most of all, is the bottom line really the most important aspect of a business? While I understand the point of running a business is to MAKE money, is it worth the livelihood of your employees and/or yourself? Just because you have a degree, doesn't mean that you are "smarter" than the typical blue color person or does it mean you are entitled to more pay. It pisses me off that companies will say anything that you want to hear to keep you around, but will still pay you jack crap.
